The Barchi rugs were inspired by the anatolian longhair rugs, also known as Tüllüs. These nomad rugs were originally manufactured just in bridge formats and are characterized by long floor and simple monochromatic designs. To manufacture our Barchi rugs, we use the so-called turkish knot. We keep the knot thread in his original length and add three to four shots between the knot rows to ensure an consistent overall image. Designing the Barchi rugs results out of a combination of initial nomad colours and shapes and contemporary designs. The rugs are named by the region where the series gets manufactured (Dasht-e-Barchi).
